What is More than a gift?
This is Centrepoint’s virtual gift site on which you can buy a range of gifts on behalf of a loved one. These gifts have been carefully selected to bring hope and real practical help to the homeless young people who find their way to Centrepoint.
Will my money definitely fund the gift I choose?
All the money you give to Centrepoint will be used to fund Centrepoint’s work with homeless young people and these gifts are real examples of items and services we provide. However, they are used here to represent the way your gifts could be used, and we will use your donations where they are needed and where they will do the most good. In the year 2008 to 2009, we spent £12.6 million directly on services such as providing food, accommodation and support to young people.
What will the person on whose behalf I have bought a gift receive?
The friend or loved one you buy a gift for will receive an e-card to the email address provided.
Will my payment details be secure?
Centrepoint ensures that all transactions are safe and that your personal information is secure. We use the secured SSL system (Secure Socket Layer) to encrypt all payment information.
How do I know if my online order has been successful?
Once you have completed your order you should receive a confirmation email straight away.
How long will it take to receive my e-card?
Your e-card will be sent straight after completion of your order.
How long will it take for my cards to arrive?
Your cards will be sent out within 48hrs of receiving the order. They will be sent second-class and you should receive them within 3-6 days as per Royal Mail guidelines – this is out of our control.
What should I do if I have not received a confirmation email?
If you have not received your confirmation email, please call 0800 138 8479. the telephone lines are open Monday-Saturday 9am to 5pm.
I am having trouble placing my order, who can I contact?
Call the ‘More than a gift’ line on 0800 138 8479 Mon - Friday 9am to 8pm, Saturday 9am to 5pm and Sunday 10am to 4pm.
What should I do if my order hasn't arrived?
Your cards will be sent out within 48hrs of receiving your order and should take 3-6 days as per Royal Mail guidelines, if your cards have still not arrived please call 0800 138 8479 and they will be able to help.
What is the last day I can place an order in time for Christmas to receive my cards?
All postal orders need to be received by the 17th December.
Online orders have to be made before 3pm on the 17th December
Phone orders need to be made before 3pm an the 17th December
Any order placed that requires E-cards can be made up until the 24th Dec to have it by Christmas day. You can still place orders after the 24th, however you may not receive this until after Christmas day.
What payment options do you accept?
You can pay for your virtual gift purchases using one of the following payment types: Visa, Visa Debit, Visa Electron, and MasterCard. We can also accept Maestro cards issued within the UK.
How can I place an order for virtual gifts without using my debit / credit card on-line?
You can call our More than a gift team on 0800 138 8479 and place your order by phone.

Where can I find out more about the young people my money will be helping?
If you go to the ' what you can do section' of our website you will find many stories of the homeless young people Centrepoint is able to help thanks to generous donations from people like you. Their stories feature within the appeals and in the Our Stories section of our site. We update these stories as often as we can.
